Through this program, participants gain hands-on civil society experience by contributing to IRRA’s protection, legal support, advocacy, and research activities.

Who Can Apply?

  • Students or graduates of human rights, law, international relations, political science, sociology, psychology, social work, communications, or related fields,
  • Individuals interested in refugee and human rights issues,
  • Able to commit at least 2 days per week,
  • Team-oriented with basic computer skills,
  • Available for both in-person and remote participation.

Application and Selection Process

  1. Application Form: Applications must be submitted online via the IRRA Volunteer Form.
  2. Pre-assessment & Meeting: Shortlisted candidates will have a brief introductory interview online or in person.
  3. Orientation & Training: Accepted candidates will receive training on IRRA’s activities, fieldwork, and volunteer tasks, and will sign a volunteer internship agreement.

1. Is this internship paid?

No. This program is entirely voluntary and unpaid.

2. Will I receive a certificate?

Yes. Volunteers who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Applications are made via the IRRA Volunteer Form. After pre-assessment, candidates are invited for a short interview. Accepted candidates attend orientation and training, followed by signing an agreement.

9. What is the final assignment?

At the end of the program, volunteers must submit a short report or project output reflecting their contributions and learning. This is required to receive the certificate.
